Man Assaulted - Tears glistened on the black and purple bruises that covered the face of 91-year-old Rodolfo Rodriguez as he described being attacked by a group of people while walking on July 4.
He turns 92 in September, Rodriguez said, and has never been hurt like this in a lifetime spent working the cattle and corn fields.

He was traveling from Michoacán, Mexico, to visit family in Willowbrook, Calif., a city in Los Angeles County, said his grandson Eric Mendoza.

He makes the trip about twice a year, walking around the neighborhood every day after lunch, Mendoza said. "Everybody in the neighborhood knows him now," he said.
Rodriguez said he was walking to a nearby park on Wednesday when he passed a woman and a little girl. Without warning, the woman attacked him, he said, hitting him with a concrete block and calling for a group of men to fight together.
"I didn't even run into her kid," Rodriguez said. "I just walked past her and she pushed me and beat me until she was done."
Police are looking for "a female suspect and three to four male suspects" in the attack, the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Office said in a statement Monday evening.

At this time, authorities do not know if weapons were used or what the motive may have been, the statement said.
"We are concerned, especially with the type of crime they committed," Deputy Sheriff D'Angelo Robinson told CNN affiliate KTLA. “There was what appeared to be a 4-year-old child there who witnessed everything. We can't have people like that on the streets."
Misbel Borjas was walking by when she saw the woman hit Rodriguez repeatedly in the head with a concrete block, she said.
"I heard her say, go back to your country, go back to Mexico," she told CNN by phone. “When I tried to take a picture of her with my mobile phone, she threw the same concrete block, tried to hit my car.

Rodriguez said he doesn't remember when the woman picked up the concrete block, but he does remember being hit multiple times. At one point, he says, the woman ran to a group of men nearby and told them that Rodriguez was trying to take her daughter away from her -- so the men joined her and began kicking him as he lay on the sidewalk, bleeding. Rodriguez I said.
"But it's not true," he said through tears. "In all the years I've lived, I've never offended anyone."
Mendoza said his grandfather suffered a broken jaw, broken cheekbones, two broken ribs and bruises on his face, back and abdomen. He spent five or six hours in the hospital, he said.
As his grandfather lay in an armchair in the family home, dressed in a white T-shirt and blue plaid pajamas, Mendoza kissed him on one of the few places he wasn't hurt: the top of his head.

"We think we have an idea (of who the suspects are), but I just want the police to find them," Mendoza said. "That's all our family wants, justice for our grandfather."
